Hi,

Thanks for all the replies. I managed to install grub-efi-amd64 to a
minimal base system installation through I manage the boot loader. I
edited grub.cfg to my heart's content to get an unchanging menu system
the way I like it. Having a dedicated partition guarantees grub.cfg is
not changed without my knowledge.
