The version of the kernel must be the same in all the parts of the iso
image, and the filesystem.squashfs file must include this *same* kernel
if you want to boot it in live mode.

The following packages are also required for that:

live-boot live-boot-initramfs-tools live-tools live-config
live-config-sysvinit
