I do not remember exactly, no debianlike system in this moment. I used
it with siduction on a samsung ultrabook. The wifi reconnected
correctly, but i had problems with tor (which had to be restarted after
any wake-up).

As for wicd-gtk, i do not have any problem with reconnection - on
different machines (some broadcom with b43 driver or some with atheros
and ath9k driver).

A problem with ceni could be, if there is going wrong something with
the connection the boot up will be dead slow, because ceni looks for at
least a minute to establish a connection and it runs before any X.
