lol! You never know! There are experiments being done on teleportation. ;)

This is kind of interesting! 'jmtpfs mnt' told me 'No mtp devices found.' which led me to check out my phone a little more in detail. I found I could select which mode I wanted it to use and I had been using USB mode all the time. Choosing MTP mode and plugging into my laptop actually automounts it and pcmanfm asks me if I want to open it in a new window. This is true even when jmtpfs is not installed.

In summation: Connecting my phone using USB mode does not auto mount it but connecting it to my laptop using MTP mode works even when jmtpfs is not installed.
