I have a bunch of personal stuff happening right now, but with a bit of
luck and some learning I might be able to do this.
I will know later next week, I don't want to commit to something and
then have to back out.

I have cloned the kbd git from kernel.org and will give it a look over.
I have also subscribed to the kbd list at alt.linux.org
That should get me more of a handle on what is happening upstream and
what kind of a commitment would be necessary.

I will get back to you on this soon as I can.
