You can get a network connection without x-window using the backend of
netman:
~$ /usr/lib/netman/bin/backend 4 ESSID
Try the following steps:
1.- Open the GUI of netman and disconnect the device.
2.- Open a tty, for example Ctrl + Alt + F2
3.- Login as user and run the above command.
In my case:
~$ cd /usr/lib/netman/bin
~$ ./backend 4 Euskaltel-58YA
