I would prefer it remain public. I'm not sure that I have really
amazing reasons except that it's always been public and I appreciate
being able to go to the list archive from time to time on those
occasions when I am trying to remember what someone said in a thread.

On rare occasion I have linked (using social media) to something that
has appeared in the archive, but it's been fairly rare. Here's an
example (regarding #Windows10 madness):

I do think that people need to be aware they are posting to a list
that is archived. Surely they know this if they are signing up via the
page at https://mailinglists.dyne.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/unsystem
