Same here. I had libsystemd-login0 installed on all my wheezy boxes,
but was able to remove it from all machines except the one with
gnome. Removing that wanted to also remove dbus, and avahi-daemon,
which I didn't have a problem with.

On the other hand, the box with gnome installed has both
libsystem-daemon0, and libsystemd-login0 automatically
installed. Attempting to remove those would gut a large part of gnome,
so I left them alone. They must have been there for a good while,
perhaps from when I upgraded to wheezy. I keep track of what apt-get
dist-upgrade does on wheezy, and don't recall it suggesting to install
new packages with systemd in there names on wheezy at any time since
jessie became stable.

The fact that gnome on wheezy seems to require libsystemd-daemon0, and
libsystemd-login0 brings up an interesting question. What will happen
when I attempt to upgrade this system to devuan stable? My plan was to
do the upgrade, get rid of the desktop task post-upgrade, and install
xfce. Will that still work?
