The Soviet Union probably would have been rolled up were it not for the
Allies bailing them out at the 11th hour with lend-lease weaponry. Strange
how America's enemies often get financing and weapons from the West.

Another example is the US Navy preventing Chinese nationalists from
re-invading the mainland during the Korean war, before Mao could fully
consolidated his power. This effectively covered the Chinese communists
army's flank so they could pour troops back over the border into North
Korea and push back MacArthur's advance.

This is controversial? Maybe it is to people that were only steeped in
their government funded and approved propaganda version of history.

At any rate, killer project. This is sorely needed in the digital age
where it's increasingly easy to modify, bury and erase history stored in
digital only form.
