If you need a Debian derivative without systemd to use until Devuan
reaches a more stable state, there is still a

choice.
I've been using MX-14 based on Wheezy, with sysvinit since April-2014:

Relying on the excellent upstream work by Linux <http://www.kernel.org/>,

The soon to release, more minimal, anitX-15 for older comupters uses
sysvinit as well, but I prefer MX-14 with Xfce4.12 and a whole host of
utilities for those who want to get things done.

I've been using this distro, now MX-14.4, since it was released
in April-2014. The developers have stated in the forum that their aim is to
maintain MX-15 based on a mixture of Jessie and sysvinit planned for
release in August or so. I have seen mention of Devuan in the forum.
Hopefully, in the future, it will be based on Devuan.

Richard.
