Do any of you guys remember back in the 1960's and 1970's, various
transistor circuits were encased in a block of epoxy? Remember trying
to figure out what they were supposed to do, or trying to troubleshoot
them?

Now, in your mind, envision one of those epoxy-encased circuits on the
left, and systemd on the right.
