Well, before we overreact- if the package has been depreciated, we should consider if PA actually requires it. Assuming we will be rebuilding from source, you can rebuild PA without systemd.

There is no reason that we have to accept the package dependencies that Debian uses. If we switch to Jack as the default, then you have to consider every single use case and package dependency for PA, otherwise you will end up installing PA anyway as soon as a Debian upstream package lists it as a requirement.
