I'd like to suggest another option: Use a forum that cross-posts with the
existing GNU Mailman powered ML. Trisquel does that using Drupal, see
http://trisquel.info/forum . It works well there since many users aren't
technically oriented and probably aren't used to MLs.
I use the MLs there but many people use the forum web UI, and we can still all
discuss things like it's a single system.
If someone can't use IRC or e-mail or any other system - try to use VPN,
proxies, etc. to open whatever ports you need and bypass any blocks you have.
This isn't specific to Devuan, but if you have a problem with either just ask.
I recently looked for a way to combine MLs and forum, not sure there are much
options (at least easy ones) other than Drupal. Would this be an option?
Personally I don't mind MLs + wiki (both are a must IMHO), but it seems forums
are more friendly to some people, especially browser-centered users not used to
MLs...
