Where I come from we have a sort of romanticised idea of Russians
and Russia: sort of like a tough guy in a black short coat
who sees through things quickly and won't be moved for anything...
and in the end whatever he was holding fast against, people
are greatful for that as he was right all along.
Suspicious: and rightly so. Not going to just swallow everything fed.
(There's pictures of Putin taking up this image, with the short
black leather blazer coat in some military installation
commanding something)
Someone who would never dream of supporting something like a
systemd.
The talk about the MiG vaccum tube backups plays into that:
there's a place for everything and an EMP is less likely
to burn out the electronics on a tub vac assembly.
