Devuan intent IS to remaind to debian. Personally i consider debian the
fork and us the continuation of the debian history :)

Devuan is derived from the merge of debian + vua, where vua stands
for "Veteran Unix Admins", the name of the group that have started
the web site debianfork.org before and then to organize the fork.
