Hi, some of you have probably seen this already poss. on cpunks, but
forwarding here to Unsystem list, related to Russian Federation's latest
shot off the bow. Informational primarily ~

Some additional notes which occur to me,
Electrum now appears to have send_to support for stealth addresses so
that it can send to either a stealth address which would be maintained
by a future DW user e.g, to a DW handled address, or to a p2sh /
multisig stealth address which would be created either by
https://sx.dyne.org/stealth.html or someone using
https://github.com/darkwallet/stealth.js etc.,

Based on what little I know about http://zerocash-project.org/ it's not
out until November, or December, I'm guessing if they encounter issues
it would be pushed to 2015 because the devs seem very serious about
getting it right,

I haven't played with Vertcoin much recently but I had heard they
implemented stealth as well,

It would be nice to know what recommended resources are out there to
help those in NY, Russian Federation, and other NorthKoreanesque places.

Maybe a tentative list that with a suggested Russian translation, that
describes the name of the wallet or coin, whether it's ready for use,
whether it incorporates stealth (e.g. Electrum to stealth send bitcoin
to DW) or has some other option that enables privacy or anonymity
selected by the user. (e.g. BCN or some other Cryptonote stuff as well)

A list or resource in multiple languages would be great...

OK, draft is available now:
http://regulation.gov.ru/project/17205.html?point=view_project&stage=2&stage_id=13089

Draft bans surrogate money and defines this as currency, including the
electronic, used for payments or/and exchange, beside the ones described
in federal law (definitely this includes bitcoins).

Emission, creating and distribution software for emission of money
surrogates, distribution of information which can be used to emission
money surrogates and/or operation with them, operation with money
surrogates: 30-50k rubles ($750-1.25k) for citizens, 60-100k
($1.5k-2.5k) for govt officials, 500k-1m ($12.5k-25k) for legal
entities.

Also it gives power to the Bank of Russia to censor websites related to
the emission and operations with money surrogates.

If any Russians read this: you can add proxy=127.0.0.1:9050 to your
bitcoin.conf/litecoin.conf/dogecoin.conf/etc., and this will proxy all
your connection via Tor network (of course you need also to run Tor for
that).
