I live in Quito too. How many of us are there? We should meet.

Fair enough. And I completely agree with you btw. It was a
simplification for a point. In REAL life, you always have other
options, like leaving the room.

I want no fighting. If there are two fighters who I cannot
persuade to stop, absent any other factors, I will let them
fight. I will not fight to stop them — that is the opposite of
progress, for now there are three fighters!

This is, I think, in line with what you mean. For example, the
US often uses two fighting factions to justify inserting
itself… and becoming a third fighter. I take issue with this.

I think we agree.

Sorry if I came through as having a fighting attitude...
English is not my native language, so my choice of words might
not be the most appropriate sometimes.

However, I still hold that goading people to fight each other
is just wrong. It is a concept used by many citizens of
imperialist countries to, in their minds, morally justify their
government's disregard of foreign national sovereignty.

Jesus Christ, man, it's a thought experiment and as

Ironic that you seem ready to fight over whose a greater
pacifist. Your attitude on this disgusts me. This is the last
I'll reply to you on this subject.

Please consider whether your use of declaratives is logical, as
well as the unconditionals. I hope you will have done so, next
time we speak. Which could be soon; I don't hold grudges or
remember names often.

Peace.

An even more preferable use of resources would be helping make
peace. Goading others into fighting each other is fucked up,

Naturally.

Let's say there are two fighters in a room, plus me. They
refuse to just crack a beer and relax, but rather insist
on fighting.

Although I would be justified to defend myself if pressed,
it is a preferable use of resources (time and energy) to goad
them into fighting each other.

That's all I mean.

I'm not sure that any kind of fighting is a good thing for
freedom. To a certain extent, all governments fight other
governments and also fight any dissenters amongst their own
population. You are right in that Correa's government is no
exception, though.
So he's the same as all governments. But anytime they're
fighting each other instead of the people, that's a good
thing for freedom, at least in the moment.

Correa is cool in that his policies contribute in moving

I feel a lot free-er in Ecuador than I did in the States,
though (I just returned to Ecuador from living in Florida
for over 5 years).

And some of his political decisions. This may be a reason for
me to leave Ecuador.

On the other hand, if it weren't for Correa's BALLS, Julian
