for a point. In REAL life, you always have other options, like leaving the
room.
I want no fighting. If there are two fighters who I cannot persuade to
stop, absent any other factors, I will let them fight. I will not fight to
stop them — that is the opposite of progress, for now there are three
fighters!
This is, I think, in line with what you mean. For example, the US often
uses two fighting factions to justify inserting itself… and becoming a
third fighter. I take issue with this.
