I am glad the teen had a good lawyer.... Hopefully it can set a precedent... It is really deeply concerning what are the police trying to make porn photos ??

Its pretty sick really its a bloody 17year old kid and even though he chose to share he's genitalia with someone it does not mean he wants it on police record

Think of the way the police can abuse that privllege aka a police officer finds their partner is having a affair and believes they were sexting can they create a warrant to take photos??

Can a corrupt officer use the photos to sell online??

It is a breach of human dignity and so called ethics really and I hope we get legal president here I mean injecting a kid to make him hard?? What's in that injection Viagra?? Like seriously the ethical questions in law raised here ate abundant...

Also after living in USA for a bit can I say only in America ?? But the fear is that legal precedent can start in America and next thing its coming to a town near you...

As someone interested in and studying a bit of technology / law intersection I will be watching this case...

From anarchist circles to my own mother's very conservative ones, no one seems to approve of this (except the particular tax-funded gang in question, of course). Even with the google bubble effect — where auto-personalized feeds isolate us from places where polar opposite ideas are discussed as the "right" ones — the consensus seems too uniform. I don't think it'll play out. Or at least we can get a few moments of wakefulness out of the sleepy population, maybe.
