FWIW I've been hired to act as their Chief Architect.

Right now my thoughts are to make it a colored-coin/embedded consensus
system with no mining that works on top of the Bitcoin blockchain.
Funding might happen in a crowdfund; I want to steer clear of anything
that could be called a "scamcoin"
