No collective rule always leads to requiring consent from the majority
and hence constrained by the lowest common denominator. From my
experience communities which emphasise autonomy and individual freedom
are ones which thrive. We should find ways to avoid and resolve conflict
that don't require parliaments and tons of globally binding laws that
regulate our lives - if you want to do something, you shouldn't need
permission of the majority.

Although community is important, as it's through our peers that we can
achieve welfare and rise up stronger than we are alone. Indeed society
itself is a life support network.
