Below, some points I made on BBC Business Edition with Tanya Beckett
last night about Bitcoin and MtGox.

*) No central bank to print bitcoin to bail out MtGox, currency intact.

*) Bitcoin does not need much new regulation, only needs to be brought
under same umbrella which protects consumer in financial services and
elsewhere.

*) Specifically, Bitcoin is very analogous to gold and should fall under
similar regulation, including exemption from VAT for investment purposes
within EU. `

*) Trend of Bitcoin will continue upwards, but it will be interspersed
with price spikes and corrections.
