題目: Re: [unSYSTEM] With Porn Filters Going Oh So Well, UK Roars Ahead In Expanding Them To Include 'Extremist' Content
I completed a video game yesterday called Mirror's Edge:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mirror%27s_Edge

It's set in the near future with a totalitarian government controlling
society. Unlike other grimy dystopian depictions of big brother, this is
more closer to reality. The whole city is full of skyscrapers and nice
looking buildings with white colours and everything. There's surveillance
cameras everywhere. It's a proper modern day fascist looking city. The
story of the game goes that the government became more fascist, and there
was violent civil unrest which the current government uses to justify its
actions. It's a police state with heavy surveillance.

The world has posters that spread propaganda such as warning against
threats to children, news about armed conflicts or about threats to our
urban way of life. There are news reports about sham elections and
advertisements for security companies (that actually work for the
government) and products like your 5 a day vegetables in a drink can.

You are a runner who delivers messages between underground groups,
travelling along rooftops. Your enemy is the police, but you have no
weapons and the game is about running or evading cops.

The gameplay mechanics is great, and movement in the game is about motion.
You can stop and work out your pathway across buildings, but it's more fun
to just run and wing it. The sequences when you’re being chased across
rooftops or around office blocks are exhilarating, the bullet holes
appearing at your feet and sides just add to the excitement of pulling off
a great run.

Often you are on the rooftops looking down at the street below. Normal
people walking around, doing jobs, living their lives. This is the way
things are. As Faith (the heroine) says: "It's not news, it's
advertisement."
