Skype is almost universally used for group chats even amongst crypto enthusiasts despite being proprietary software owned by Microsoft and monitored by the NSA.
Given that OTR group chat is not currently possible/widespread [1], in what ways can teams communicate securely (hopefully encrypted) in real time? BitMessage broadcasts are a step in the right direction, but the required work computation for each message makes rapid communication unrealistic.
What are the current options and is there anything on the horizon?
