Hi!
we overlapped urban gardening with upcycling and created sprout
containers out of the cd spindle boxes, used old computer cases to plant
salad and small citrus tree, speaker cases and old floppy disks to
create holders for small kitchen plants like sage or lavander. CD
spindle cases are used for hanging gardens too where mostly we planted
parsley. All in all, a good addition for a healthy diet for multimedia
centre inhabitants of MMC Ljubljana for coming winter :)

We served home made ghee, amaranth and sprouts at opening. crackers are
bought cheeply at local supermarket :)
all in all, we had a nice group of people working and imagining possible
futures, but most important we had urban gardeners, designers,
hacklabers and biohackers working with other folk.
We were concerned on toxicity of plastic we use for upcycling. looking
at some resources we found out that cd spindle cases are perfectly ok,

when we compared with yoghurt or cola/juice/water containers, strangely
cd spindle cases won by large as non toxic plastics.
All best
