Verifiable identity is what's important for commerce, whether or not it's
tied to your real name and social security number is another matter
entirely. One of the most interesting things about cryptocurrencies is
they allow you to have verifiable, psuedononymous identity in the form of a
bitcoin address. With a minimum of safeguard, you can have these
identity/addresses disassociated from your "real" identity, and yet you're
able to verify you control them and thus are the controller with a simple
VPN guarded transaction.


To a point, I actually agree - Anyone choosing to operate a Bitcoin
business in the united states knows what they're getting into, or has
already lost the game. The technology is the easy part, it's the jumping
through of hoops, and enormous in-advance-of-open liability bonds that
cause the trouble
