Hm, strange...if Trisquel works fine I would expect that dyne works also.

For NVidia cards I use nouveau.nomodeset=1 or nomodeset=1 as boot
parameter (you have to change the boot commandline by hand during
booting).
Check the dyne mailing list archive for details.
