These days I have been looking into the best way to deal with the wiki.

I was thinking about transferring the content which people have
expressed interest in keeping onto github and then hook that repo up
to pelican (http://readthedocs.org/docs/pelican/en/2.7.2/) . People
can then fork the repo on github and send me a pull request or a patch
to add new stuff - comments?.
I can then close the media wiki instance

Hopefully get round to that in a couple of days (a new baby boy
demands quite a bit of my free time a.t.m ;)
