please consider also the possibility of making a donation, or
encouraging your organization or company to do so, to let us carry
with development. so far development has been counting on voluntary
work and there is no billionaire feeding anyone, so a little bit from
all users will help a lot, especially now that our foundation can
receive donations via paypal (so far only 30 or 40$ were received).
sorry for mixing up the topics, but i explicitly remind the above
since the issues you raise will be solved in the next development
round of dyne:III - for which i dream i can involve more people, but
for that resources are required and we have no sponsor yet.

these issues might be solved using the graphical setup from the
CONFIGURE section in the menu, which switches the keyboard and
language saving the setting inside your NEST, if it is created.
I'm aware that the dyne.cfg section about keybard and language doesn't
work so smoothly, unless you check carefully the match with the files
in /usr/share/dyne that hold keyboard and locales lists.
further internationalization of dyne:bolic is high on the priority of
features to be implemented on the next version, plus refactoring of
all the mechanism described above, which should be standardised to
what is commonly used on gnu/linux systems.

unfortunately the archives are broken, after our recent server
migration now also the search engine, i hope to find time to fix that
in march or April, these days i'm travelling across south Asia and
very seldom online.

that is also a problem, since the old archives are in ezmlm format,
then since i migrated to mailman the format changed and the bulk
archive should be merged from all that, recovering 6 years of valuable
discussions on this list... another task to be solved indeed.
while I'm not sure the above really solves your problem, at least i
hope this answer helps somehow :)
ciao
