Thanks, Guy. I'm still using the default root account setup that d:b
launches into by default (BTW, at least I'm behind a hardware
firewall--part of my DSL modem). I'm sure I need to set up a user
account (and figure out how to log in as that user). I just hope
working from the CLI works. I'm going to do that as soon as I send
this message.
If that doesn't work and there are no other ideas forthcoming, I may
next be asking how to salvage settings (particularly those for Bon
Echo and the plugins I've installed as well as the plugins themselves)
to put into a new nest. Running like this is no fun!
