I just read more closely and saw your mention of Slackware packages.
Yeesh. Too many things going on in my head at once and I'm missing the
trees for the forest ; ). That's good to know I can use those.

I tried the puredyne module for ardour2 but it failed in both the
standard dyne installation and a full-blown puredyne install to hard
disk, both with the same (libcairopango) error. I'll see if I can
compile it from scratch and stitch up a module of my own.
