Usually, once I get xawtv to work, hasciicam works, too. Hasciicam has options to set
all the video parms, so try and set them all like what is in the xawtv config panels. I
recall a few frustrating moments solved with both the --norm (sets PAL/NTSC) and --input
(sets input channel.)
