well...
i think that the best way to install Flash is to go to
videos.google.com, select a video, after that click on 'install Flash
plugin' and to install it (a couple of secs if you have a fast
connection).
btw, without a nest you will not be able to keep Flash at the next reboot.

the linux packages it's a long story, but it's not so bad after you
know how to use them... and sometimes, or to say it better, most of
the times they work better than windows's exe!
