It's past time for me to start posting some of the problems I'm having
with this diabolical distro. It wasn't my first distro (my first is
Puppy and I've got the bulk of it figured out), but there are some
annoying things going on (and there are things I LIKE about this
distro) and I sure hope somebody here can give me a hand.
My subject line is pretty self-explanatory; yesterday I was having
some frustrating problems with Diabolical (approaching, but not as bad
as, Windows). When I hit the wall was when SOMEHOW the menu bar on the
top-right corner and the taskbar along the bottom of the screen
disappeared. There was enough other stuff going on that I don't
remember whether they happened at the same time or not.
I've looked thru the manual, I've looked over the site, I've nosed
around the menu (at least I can get the menu with a right-click) and
so far I haven't found anything that addresses how to get the menu bar
and/or the taskbar to reappear. I even tried "updating" my system on
boot (oh yeah--FYI, I have a nest and a docked system on my hard
drive) and that did no good either.
Will somebody please give me a simple 1-2-3 on how to get the menu bar
and taskbar back?
