i'm fixing up the packaging of kernels for dyne (core, modules and
soures) in a compact and portable way, so we are quite close to the day
you can switch kernels from some user interface.
by now to switch a kernel you should edit grub to point to the new .krn
file as well make sure that the .kmods file is in place inside the dyne/
dock.
anyway the 2.6.21-mm1-dyne is *just* experimental.
that is a 2.6.21 kernel patched with Andrew Morton's collection of
changes to linux (-mm) i compiled some days ago when experimenting with
low latency and the ivysync software.
as soon as i had this kernel working (but beware it has issues with
jack) i thought it was worth to host it in the modules repository, which
now i realize you are really monitoring closely eh :)
ciao
