Autor: David Baron Data: Para: dynebolic mailinglist Assunto: [dyne:bolic] Recover after X-crash
It seems that once there is an active network (other than a simple NAT type
thing), X will crash. This happens running in both a Qemu VM or a VirtualBox
VM with "host networking". With the NAT, Vbox run dyne quite well. (Qemu
defaults to better networking than the NAT.)
After the X crash, I have the option of logging on. There is an active nest
and I should be able to fix this.
How do I log on as root?
Any ideas why X is crashing (ICE messages appear).
Obviously, one would not run dynebolic in such a manner to make multimedia use
of it. I am simply experimenting with virtual machines a dyne iso file is a
good a place to start as any. (Knoppix is an alternative).
