I am new to this list so forgive me if my assumption is wrong. I don't
think that the original message was about booting of a hard drive.
dynebolic 2.4.1 is not alive CD. it attempts to boot, but it only runs
part way than stops with a few error messages. I have two burns here
and both stops at the same place.
