hi all,
this error occured with pure:dyne but i guess its the same for dynebolic.
i´ve some problems with latitude x300 subnotebook and its docking
station. it seems that the cd-rom inside the docking station is
accessed through USB, so the
pure:dyne apparently times out too early while trying to mount the
drive. i tried some things which are already mentioned here:
http://gentoo-wiki.com/HARDWARE_Dell_Latitude_X300
like:
linux dopcmica docache
linux noapic acpi=off
nodma ...
and all together ;)
but it didnt work out. it always boots into volatile mode and is saying:
> > root: [*] going into mulit user mode
> > root: [!] No dyne system has been found on any storage device
> > root: [!] this is a fatal error, dyne:bolic cannot run.
it´s strange because dmesg | grep -i cd-rom outputs:
> > Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 00
> > Uniform CD-ROM driver Revision: 3.20
> > sr 0:0:0:0: Attached scsi CD-ROM sr0
so, the cdrom is being detected but not mounted (at least not fast
enough mounted?)
thanks for any help!
