For whatever reason, I'm having this problem too. At first I thought
it was an NTFS issue, but I tried copying the /dyne dir to my ext3
drive, and the CD didn't find it. I'm assuming that whatever made
that work in 2.3 is somehow gone or broken.

Luckily, I have grub installed and I am able to boot from there.
