I had posted this on the mail list earlier, but for some reason it didn't get through. I'm currently using dyne 2:3 and have used 2.2 and 2.0. On two of my computers they all configure with DHCP and connect automatically to the internet when I boot up, but on another one, with a Fast Ethernet card, none of them ever has. I need to open the terminal, run ifconfig eth0 up enter then pump -i eth0 after that I can connect with no problem. It's working fine that way on dyne:bolic 2.3 right now. To make the settings permanent I wrote a script in /etc called rc.local that only contains these two commands.Dan ConklinHelp fight software piracy...use Linux!Need to know something about shooting and editing video? 192.168.0.5) from the lumumba computer (eth0 192.168.0.3) that are connected via the ethernet ports on my DSL gateway (192.168.0.1) but no luck, so it may be something other than a DNS issue. I can ping each machine's own eth0 with no problem, but not the other or the gateway. Again, this problem only occurs with dhoruba, not lumumba or Windows..... _o Kristofer Dale,. _ <,_ ragged individualist,. ( )/ ( ) statistic at large....p.s.
