Good day all,
just a little note from New Zealand:
first, let me tell you how much I appreciate this distro. As somebody with
an interest in electronic music AND Linux, dyne:bolic is a wonderfull
tool. It works on most of my machines (work, laptop, home office), but
unfortunately there is a little issue with booting from my main leasure
machine:
An Athlon 2800 with 760MB, 3 IDE HD's, a Via K600 MoBo and some PCI cards
it does not have the standard IDE CD-Rom, but (mainly for security
reasons) I use a portable CD/DVD writer that I hook up to its USB2 port.
With this setup, the debian based distros and even SLAX and Puppy have no
issues booting. Unfortunately dynae:bolic doesn't make it. Initial booting
works, but as soon as the Kernel finds the DVD-drive at sr0: it goes into
'volatile state'. Noapci doesn't work either.
