You might consider DVDstyler or Qdvdauthor for a future release, giving artists/activists a chance to distribute projects hand to hand.
or Nvu for web authoring.
I'm not using Dyne at the moment, Kino doesn't capture, I don't know how to resolve the 1394 issues that i get with Dyne 2, ( Dyne 1.4 works fine). Currently I find BLAG 50000, (Fedora 5 based) serves many of my needs. Kino works out of the box and the version of Cinelerra looks stable.
To complete the paths, both distributions could finish off nicely with dvd authoring packages with a gui, for distribution to proles without internet access and/or a pc.

Jaromil could you please include in the 2.2 release the alsa-tools-gui (especially hdspmixer) - if it isn't still in 2.1.

yesterday i recorded some songs but i couldn't hear them when i routed them to my digitalmixer. the same problem i had with ubuntu until i opned the hdspmixer - after opening it worked and i had sound at the outputs of my rme hdsp 9652...
