I gave up trying to get 2.1 online for lack of time and information, and
instead tried adding a menu item for 1.4 to the grub loader for an existing
installation of SUSE. For some reason, the Xwindow server(?) crashes when
booting from the hard disk, so I'm still booting from CD to a docked and
nested 1.4.1. I like dynebolic enough to ditch my existing hardware and try
it on a fast dedicated system. Looking at the GRUB website gives me the
impression it is still in the "Here it is, good luck!" phase of
development...
