Package: xsnow
Version: 3.8.3-1
The xsnow package contains undocumented behavior. This behavior causes the
Ukrainian flag to be displayed on the desktop with a 2% chance of
appearing, and for users with a Russian locale, this chance increases to
30%. Although this change was made by the package author, this behavior is
unacceptable, as continuing it could set a bad example for other
developers, which would only worsen the situation for users in various
countries. Furthermore, this undocumented behavior could be used for other
purposes, including malicious ones. I consider this behavior unacceptable
and therefore request that the package be removed from the repositories.
I'm using Devuan 6 Excalibur [amd64] with kernel 6.12.90+deb13.1-amd64.
Version: 1:3.9.3-1
