Hi to all of you,
today while trying to update suricata to stable-backports version on my devuan test router
this aptlistchanges message popped up:
apt-listchanges: News
---------------------
suricata (1:8.0.1-1) unstable; urgency=medium
Support for sysv init files and configuration via /etc/default/suricata
has been removed. The systemd-based setup requires a different
customization approach (e.g. to enable nfqueue mode or configure
inspection interfaces). Please see the README.Debian file to learn
about configuration as intended now.

(press q to quit)
so while I can live with suricata/stable,now 1:7.0.10-1+deb13u4 amd64 [installed]
for now in the next devuan version this will be a problem,
maybe a candidate for orphan-sysvinit-scripts or for a fork.
Ciao,
Tito
