Didn't know of mtp. I would have given it a try if I had known. I
spent 2 years refining a dedicated web server for Linux. It exposes one
directory of your choice to the web for file visit, download, upload,
and delete. Upload and delete can be massive. Deletion must be enabled
by a command-line switch; I added it for completeness but never use it.
The server is intended for the LAN because there is no security beyond
the limitation to a single directory and the fact that there can be only
one client at a time. The server for Linux is written in C; the
interface on Android, Ios, or what else, is /any/ web browser. It is
available on devuangit.
