On my samsung tablet with android 16 that works only intermittently.
It seems to switch to "io-errors" when I try to access some files.
But when it is working it is very useful.

kdeconnect also seems to have these sorts of intermittent problems, but
only gives access to very few files.

As for transferring files via an SD card, on this version of Android,
applications do not seem to be able to access files even when under
innocuous places like Documents. As I say Android is a pain.
