I have no idea about the "motivation" of the Rust team, no desire to
speculate about it and certainly didn't write anything about it.

This is, as I already wrote, an interesting idea, especially because of
its captivating simplicity. But if people think Rust must be mandated in
order to gain traction, I'm planning to deal with such mandates when I
have a tangible reason to.
