This demand to take it off list is just what a lot of us put up with,
on the Debian User list in 2014, when we criticized systemd. Our views
were called diatribes, rants, whines and whinges.

This is about the languages used to create the Linux kernel, so it's
perfectly on topic. Rainer didn't resort to personal insults. I should
know: I was the person he was debating with.

And you know the saddest thing? Everybody, including me, too quickly
forgot the fact that the original subject of this thread was that
Rainer had created several tools useful in creating or enhancing an
init system, which is a wonderful thing. With Rainer's work, s6, runit,
Nitro, Dinit, and maybe even GNU Shepherd, the next time some fool
tries to make a weaponized init system claiming it's better than "the
current one", he won't be able to get away with it.

So Rainer, I'll respond the way I should have responded in the first
place, by saying T H A N K Y O U !
