UNIX time is number of seconds since 1970, and since I was born in the
early 1960s, that makes my DOB a large negative number.

Anyone screwing up their age checks might think a large negative number
is very much under age. Though would not surprise me to see someone
reporting my age as "nan years old". I once saw a web site claiming I
owe them "$nan", coz it couldn't handle the fact that they owed me money,
making my balance negative, screwing up their maths.

"nan" is computer speak for "not a number", the result of dividing by
zero and other naughty maths shenanigans.

Curiouser indeed. lol
